Pudertöne - Part II

(English)
Beschreibung:

Ich persönlich bin also gut zurecht gekommen.

Was magst Du besonders bzw.

Pattern Description:
This is Butterick 5130. A Pullover A-line dress, above mid-knee, fitted (at bust) and has short or long, two-piece raglan sleeves with elastic casings, multiple elastic casings in bodice and elasticized empire waist seam. Hems are stitched.

Pattern Sizing:
8- . I've made a size 8, even though i'm usually a size 6.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Ummmhh, the advantage of the instructions from the Big 4 compared to instructions from BWOF is that there are pictures for each step. So, i followed the pictures without even translating the textual instructions. It worked perfectly for me.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the gathering which gives the dress a special look. Even though the dress looks very elaborate, it is very easy to sew and super comfy to wear.

Fabric Used:
1.5m light pink Lycra.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
First i followed the instructions here and added an additional elascti casing at the waist. Furthermore, i've omitted the elastic casings at the sleeve seams. When i tried the dress on i liked it that way, so i made it without the sleeve casings. And since my fabric doesn't fray, i left the seams raw.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I don't know. There are so many other beautiful dresses i want to make and this one is so special, i don't think i need two of them. But i would highly, highly recommend it to others.

Conclusion:
I'm totally in love with this dress. It is super comfortable, flattering and easy and fast to sew and it has cost me only about 10 Euros (4,50 Euros for the fabric during sale at my local department store and about 5 Euros for the pattern over Sewingpatterns.com). I will definetly wear this dress a lot. Thumbs up from me, an absolute winner!

I commented over at PR, but wow, you made an awesomely gorgeous dress! I think I might take the elastic out of the sleeves on mine to look more like yours!

Great dress, it sure looks a lot more expensive than 10 euros!

Vielen, vielen Dank!
Thank you so much!

Dear Kristin, i'm so flattered. To be honest, it wasn't the pattern photo nor the pattern drawing that made me want to sew this dress but the picture of your dress on PR. So, thanks for the nice words on my dress!
